Our Faith as United Methodists

Mandarin United Methodist Church has a rich history and a bright future! We are part of The United Methodist Church, the second-largest denomination in the United States and a local church in the Florida Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church.

Our church is focused on transforming lives by . . .

–  Loving God and neighbor

–  Touching hearts for God

–  Equipping the young

As United Methodists, we share beliefs with other Christians on the centrality of Jesus Christ and the cross, as expressed in the Bible and the historic creeds of the Christian Church (The Apostles’ Creed, The Nicene Creed). As United Methodists, we focus on the Grace and Love of God for all people. The distinctive convictions of United Methodists are that the saving love of God is meant for all people, that Jesus’ love is transformative, and that the love of Jesus creates community. Because of Jesus’ love, we reach out in service to our world.

You can read about what we believe as United Methodist Christians in our Articles of Religion, contained in The Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church, 2016.
