The Case for Easter

Sundays | 9:45 am & 10:45 am

The Crusaders Sunday School Class will be doing the 4-week Lent study, The Case for Easter by Lee Strobel beginning, Sunday, March 28th. Join us in the Crusaders Sunday School Class in room 304 in the Bence Wing on the Mandarin campus from 9:45-10:45 am.







Sundays | 10:00 am – 10:50 am

After the 9:00 am worship service at both the Longleaf and Mandarin campuses, stick around in the Worship Area at Longleaf or the Gathering Area at Mandarin. We will have different discussion questions at each table and seating space. Find a discussion topic that interests you. These will change weekly and you will have a chance to have discussions and fellowship with others in a small group setting about that day’s sermon, parenting challenges, scripture passages, topical discussions, and more.




True Beauty Book Club

True Beauty Book Club will be discussing Vain Empires by Brandilyn Collins. There will be several meeting times and locations you can choose from to discuss the book:

Food Trucks

Wednesdays | 5:00 – 6:30 pm

We will be having food trucks Wednesday nights before our 6:30 classes starting April 14th. Join us for the next 6 weeks for a new food truck each week.

Wednesdays | 6:30 pm | 6 weeks

Join us as we begin our study of AHA by Kyle Idleman starting April 14th. This will be facilitated by Rick Thomas. We’ve all had “aha!” moments in our lives, times when a sudden revelation surprises us with insight.





Trustworthy Study

Wednesdays | 6:30 pm | 6 weeks

Join us as we begin our study of Trustworthy by Lysa Terkeurst starting April 14th. This will be facilitated by Courtney Lewis. Through six weeks of deeply personal study, you’ll join Lysa in Israel to explore the kings of the Old Testament and discover God alone is worthy of our trust and we can rest in Him. Workbooks will be available in the classroom for $17.




Arlington market pantry

April 17th | 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

Join us as we serve with Impact Church at the Arlington Market Pantry! This mobile pantry event allows us to provide a free food give-away to members of the community and help Fill the Table. Volunteers will assist in a number of roles including set-up, break-down, organizing items, and carrying items to vehicles.





Craft Night

April 21st | 6:30 pm

We are having a craft night! Join us at the Mandarin campus as we make a sea glass rope lantern on April 21st at 6:30 pm. Jill Schmidt will lead you in creating a sea glass rope lantern. Bring your own clean, smooth jar. All other materials will be supplied. The class will cost $5.




Cup of Love

April 24th | 8:30 – 11:00 am

Join us for Saturday Service with Cup of Love on April 24th, at City Rescue Mission, from 8:30-11:00 am. We will have the opportunity to share God’s love with our downtown neighbors by passing out lunch to-go. This is a mission activity where we get the opportunity to bring items to share. We invite volunteers to consider bringing the following items: water bottles, Gatorade bottles, chewy bars (no nuts), muffins (no nuts), orplastic or reusable shopping bags. Donations are always appreciated!




Praise in the Park

April 25th | 4:00 pm

Please join us for our second Praise in the Park, an outdoor music experience. We will gather in the back parking lot (bring your chair or blanket) to enjoy a variety of musical offerings from our music ministries. There will also be a time for dinner and fellowship and then we will move into our trivia portion this afternoon. Come with your team and get ready to put your knowledge to the test as Andrea and her hosting skills lead us through this part of the event. We are excited to be able to live stream the music portion of the afternoon so if you are unable to join us in person, please check us out online and share with a friend.



BBQ Chicken FUndraiser

April 25th | 5:30 pm

Join us for a special Barbeque Chicken Sandwich Dinner Fundraiser for Rise Against Hunger. The fundraiser will take place during our Praise in the Park event and dinner will be served at 5:30 pm. Dinner is $5 per plate and includes one barbeque chicken sandwich, coleslaw, chips, and a bottle of water; prepared on campus and served in individual to-go boxes.





Methodism & Christianity 101

April 25th | 2:00 pm

If you want to know more about Methodism and Christianity, and specifically about Mandarin United Methodist and Longleaf Church, then this class is for you! We are also encouraging anyone interested in becoming members of either church to take this class. This is an online class which will include videos, to watch at your convenience, and three scheduled Zoom sessions to allow for small group discussion.





Dan Stanley Birthday Celebration

April 28th | 12:00 pm

Please join us on the Mandarin campus to celebrate the birthday of our church family’s only centenarian, Dan Stanley. Dan has been a giant in the spiritual life of Mandarin United Methodist Church and we want to make a big deal of his 100th birthday. Please bring any pictures you have of Dan and any favorite memories/stories.
