Adult Choir

Mandarin United Methodist Church offers opportunities for musical involvement through our Adult Choir and Handbell Choir, open to individuals of high school age and older. Both ensembles rehearse on Wednesday evenings and regularly contribute to the 11:00 AM. Traditional Worship service on Sundays. In addition, we welcome vocal and instrumental soloists, as well as small ensembles, to share their gifts in worship.

For more information or to express interest in joining an ensemble or offering special music, please contact Sarah at sshoremount@mumc.net.  You are also welcome to attend a rehearsal at any time.

The Adult Chancel Choir invites singers of all experience levels to share their voices in leading worship. While the ability to read music is helpful, it is not required. The choir sings weekly at the 11:00 AM. Traditional Worship service and prepares a diverse repertoire of four-part choral music.

Handbell Choir

The Handbell Choir welcomes those with the ability to read music, though instruction can be provided for those interested in learning. The ensemble performs monthly at the 11:00 AM Traditional Worship service and typically prepares Level III-IV repertoire. The church is equipped with five octaves of Malmark handbells, as well as hand chimes.

Instrumentalists

We are currently in the process of forming an instrumental ensemble of wind and string instruments to provide music for our Christmas celebrations, with the possibility of additional performances throughout the year.  If you are interested in participating, please email Sarah at sshoremount@mumc.net.
