True Beauty Book Club

November 21st

This month, True Beauty will be reading Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi . The next meeting day is Sunday, November 21st at 10:00am at both campuses.

Cup of Love Thanksgiving Breakfast

November 24th | 8:30 AM

Join us as we serve with Cup of Love Ministry in downtown Jacksonville. Volunteers will have the opportunity to serve our downtown neighbors. This is a missions activity where we get the opportunity to bring items to share. Since it will be the day before Thanksgiving, Cup of Love is planning host a breakfast. The event will take place in the parking lot of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, which is next to the City Rescue Mission. You may park in the parking lot or use street parking nearby.

A Call for Prayer

November 28th | 3:00 PM

Join us Sunday, November 28th starting at 3:00 pm for A Call For Prayer. Open prayer time will be available in the Worship Center. You are welcome to come anytime from 3:00-3:45 pm.

Hanging of the Greens

November 28th | 4:00 PM

Join us at 4:00 pm as we start the Advent Season with congregational participation in the reading of scripture, singing songs, hanging Chrismon ornaments, wreaths, holly, ivy and lighting of the Christmas Trees. The reading portions go fast, so come early! Immediately following, join us outside for Cocoa & Cookies Campus Decorating!

Yarn Wrapped Christmas Trees

December 1st | 6:30 PM

Join Jill Schmidt and Dee Baroch at 6:30pm as they lead you through creating your own three Yarn Wrapped Christmas Trees. The following will be supplied in the classroom: poster board, packing tape, hot glue guns/glue sticks, wooden stars, mini tree garland, yarn. You can bring your own fairy lights if you would like them on your trees. The cost of the class is $10 which will include 3 trees.

Advent/Christmas Concert

December 4th | 7:00 PM

We invite you to this year’s Advent/Christmas Concert, entitled Journey Through Darkness and Light. Come take time to pause and reflect on your faith through inspirational music and readings and art of the season. It will feature Chancel Choir, Chancel Ringers, Youth Choir, Children’s Choir, string orchestra, organ, and piano. A reception with refreshments will follow the performance. Admission is free and a free-will offering will be taken in support of the music ministry. Seating is limited. Registration will open on Monday, November 15. For more information, contact Austen Wilson.

Pine Cone Decorating Craft Class

December 8th | 7:00 PM

Join Elaine Redmon as she leads you through decorating pine cones for the holiday season. Elaine will provide all the supplies and pine cones needed for this craft.

Journey Through Bethlehem

December 18th | 4:00-6:00 PM

We are very excited to share this fun event scheduled for December 18 4 to 6 PM. We will be inviting the community to join us through a walk-through Bethlehem ending at the stables. We would love for volunteers and items needed to help create this special journey. If you would like to volunteer or donate items like pottery, baskets, flat or neutral colored sheets, two by fours, greenery, etc.
